Forged arrow head of carbon steel in crescent moon shape.
Arrow heads like these are sometimes called "rope cutters". But medival authors recommend the "sagitta bifurcata" oder "double pronged arrow" for hunting geese and other large birds.
This reproduction is forged from high quality carbon steel with a conical socket to glue onto the shaft.

Carbon steel is not rust proof, a little rust is therefore normal and can be removed with sanding paper. The head can be oiled for protection.
